Frequent trains arrive at Portsmouth from where you can travel to the Island by catamaran for Ryde Esplanade, or from Southsea to Ryde by hovercraft. If you travel to Southampton, you can come by high speed Red Jet, arriving at Cowes Pontoon. Bus services to Sandown are available both at Ryde Esplanade and Cowes Pontoon.
